About
I am an interpreter and translator working with French, Spanish, and English. I support organisations and speakers who want their message to be understood clearly and accurately, helping ensure it is heard across languages and communities.I provide conference and community interpreting services between French and English, as well as translation from French and Spanish into English. My work is supported by an MSc in Interpreting and Translating from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, awarded with Merit, and an MA in French from the University of Glasgow, awarded with First Class Honours with Distinction in Spoken French.I have trained in EU-standard interpreting environments, including European Commission practice sessions, and have supported live conferences, cultural events, and private meetings. Clients and colleagues know me for my calm delivery, strong preparation, and reliability under pressure. I work well both independently and as part of wider teams, and I am valued for my ability to adapt smoothly to changing conditions.Based in Edinburgh, I am available for freelance and short-term assignments across Scotland and further afield.
Post-Graduate Work
As well as providing language services, I have research interests in the Basque language and the impact of translation in the lived environments of minority-language communities.
